Italian for Two! We came across Vibo along the Kingsway. Authentic Italian buzzing with great food and brilliant service. Piano soloist, families welcome, large tables or cubby corners. Rich in tradition, modern in approach. Their website states they have been a staple along the Kingsway for 38 years…. and you must book to get in. By 8pm there wasn’t a spare seat in the house!

Take a moment! …. help us to help you obtain your FREE publicity.
Many community events are submitted by arts, non-profit, clubs or service groups. You are all great people, doing great things. Each year when your roles change - new Board, new Chair and in particular a new Publicity person, we’d like to ask that you “Take a moment….. to handover the information!” As an out-going Publicity person, please pass on the website address, login information and how the process works. As an in-coming Publicity person, if you haven’t heard, please ask for this information.
What’s On Ontario is also run on volunteer hours. Over the last ten years, we have advised, taught, and walked-through thousands of people, young and old, computer literate or new to computers, on how to complete online forms, and get FREE publicity.
What’s On was rebuilt at the end of last year to automate things a little more and help save administrative time. Of course everyone was comfortable with our old format and we certainly appreciate your patience as you learn the new layout.
Any assistance you can give to your successor to assist with a smooth changover, as you vacation your position is very, very, very much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance,
Alison Hird – Web Administrator.
Will you be travelling through the Headwaters area (Orangeville, Dufferin, Caledon) to visit Wiarton Willie? Will he see his shadow? Will winter continue for another 6 weeks? Likely it will, as it feels as though winter has yet to begin!
Visit What’s On Ontario, and find a spot to eat on the way. Call in at the Dufferin County Museum and have one last peep at the special Quilts exhibit before the display is changed for the season. Catch an open studio or art display.
There is always plenty to do and see, even in the winter months.
Hi folks,
This is Alison Hird of the popular events website What’s On Ontario (www.whatson.ca). What’s On provides a comprehensive Events Calendar for the GTA and beyond. We have been in operation for 10 years and have a huge following. So far, we have communited with our visitors via email.
Often used as an information service, some visitors ask to find certain events, whereas the people listing their events write regularly with questions and updates. As the site and visitor population has grown, the amount of email traffic has become quite unmanageable. If you wish to stay up-to-date with what’s happening and What’s On….. Hit the RSS Feed.
So, here it is….. the blog. Through this medium we plan to offer information of how and when to add events. Announce cut-off dates for our associated print publications, give advice on getting events listed and of course help our visitors find what they need through What’s On.
The new website launched in December and we have been fine-tuning one or two technical quirks. Our aim for remodelling the site was two-fold. The older website was technically out of date, and we wanted to bring in new features and create areas where Event organizers can buy affordable advertising or encourage local businesses to sponsor their ads. Thanks to my ’techny’ husband Chris for the many hours of dedication he spent pulling it all together. We hope you like it!
The secret to navigating the site is: “GOTO”, as you enter each section (tabs along the top), hit GOTO List or Directory to see details.
What’s On’s comprehensive Event List offers many many events at any one time. Click on the calendar to see events on that day, or hit View by Month to see everything that particular month. To narrow your search – select Theatre, or Kids, in the drop-down box on the right. Or use key word search to find a “fair”, “festival” or events in “orangeville”.
Everyone in Ontario can enjoy FREE publlicity for their events…. simply Submit An Event. We particularly support the Arts, and non-profit groups.
